Youth"We aim to actively develop children not only in hockey & fitness but also to make sure they have fun and meet and make new friends. " Castletown currently has a membership that rivals most other sporting clubs on the Island and our membership starts from 8yrs old, which is the youngest age that you can be involved in organised hockey on the Isle of Man. As the future of any club is in it's younger players, Castletown established a youth scheme in conjunction with the Manx Hockey Association in 1996. The "Cuttags" team plays in various competitions throughout the year and has won numerous events In recent years. Along with this prestige, four of our youth players have been selected for further training at courses held at North West County level. All training sessions are run under the supervision of Lesly Shimmin and her team of qualified coaches and the details of the training sessions and their times are listed below.
